Indie authors have a very thin margin when selling their books on other platforms or in bookstores. Fortunately, if you order directly from the publisher with multiple copies, the author will get a much "thicker" margin and you save money too because the book gets to you directly without going through other channels thus cutting the cost, and you get a discount for ordering more copies.
